Classmate Interview
The Classmate Interview taught me key skills required to perform an interview. Although it was difficult to create open minded questions that would benefit the flow of the article, the overall experience and communication let me understand more about Olivia Henderson. I chose to write about her because we are close friends. I decided that conducting an interview would only bring us closer, where I could learn more about her.

Human Interest Piece
|
The Human Interest Piece went along with the full E-Book that we created for chemistry. By researching information for this Piece, not only did I learn how to write a proper magazine article, but I felt that this was very beneficial in conducting my E-Book. To complete this assignment, I correlated main ideas from the E-Book and decided to write something that would relate to most of my topics. I researched steps to healthier living and how to extend lifespan.

Elements of Photo Journalism
This PowerPoint was created with my teammates and we discussed different types of photographs used in photojournalism. Language of the Image taught me about the different structures of photos and how an image could tell a story. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. With the difference in light and emotion, the reader can experience many aspects of on-the-spot images.

Humans of St. Petersburg
"I surround myself with elephants to help remind me that wisdom is the key to life's peace." - Sydnee Sharpe
The element of photojournalism featured in my photograph is graphic and portrait personality. The vibrant colors and different shapes depict a graphic visual element, and the background explains the persons personality. The Humans of St. Petersburg taught me how to reach out of my comfort zone and look for people outside the school environment. The successes of this assignment include taking a really cool photograph of one of my closest friends. To complete this assignment, I first had to create a list of open minded questions for an interview and then capture an image that best described that persons personality traits.

Movie Review: "Deadpool"
The Movie Review on "Deadpool" taught me how to evaluate any film based not only on the plot line, but the acting, music, and graphic designs of it. In order to complete the review, I had to research facts about the creation of the movie, introduce the producer and his crew, along with the actual rating of the movie. This movie was chosen because at the time it was trending, and that's what the audience wants to read prior to watching the movie.

Graduation News Story
|
The Graduation News Story is structured as the local news article. By writing this story, I learned how to structure my articles in proper format. The dates and quotes were the most difficult for me; however, going by the given rubric there shouldn't be a problem. I decided to write about the actual ceremony because I needed a photograph to go along with my story.

Restaurant Review: Chipotle
The Restaurant Review was my favorite to conduct and write about. I was able to discuss my favorite place with their amazing food through a restaurant review article. From this assignment I learned how to evaluate food based on the five senses and describe it in an eloquent tone. To write this, I had to judge not only the food, but the service and environment of the chosen restaurant.
